EDIT: Replaced the stamp with a newer slower version. I can not make it any slower than this...so it will have to do It says:
I am an animal,
I love you, and will do as I am trained.
If I do something bad, I am killed. Why? because of a sterotype.
Open your mind...Open your heart...I am not a monster.
D: Okay, so, recently there was a story in my city about a Rotty that was used to attack a civilian, (as ordered by the Rotty's owner) And people in my city are screaming about big dog breeds.
Now, as a animal lover, I don't feel the common misconceptions about Rottys, Pitbulls, and other breeds to be true. THESE ARE DOGS. They are ANIMALS. They are PACK ANIMALS and as the owner, YOU are the leader of the pack. What does that mean? IT MEANS THE DOG WILL DO WHAT YOU SAY D: The dog LOVES you as a human, and if you train it to kill: IT WILL.
But guess what? If you train the dog right, as a puppy with good values, and correct it when it's wrong: You will get a loving dog D:
Why do I feel so strongly about the pitbull thing? Because. I knew a half pitbull half unknown breed and he was one of the SWEETEST and most friendly dog on the face of the earth D: He was recently killed in a car accident, but he left teaching me a lesson: It's NOT the breed. It's the MORONIC humans that train these dogs to fight and kill. They are NOT monsters at birth.
Dedicated to Thunder. Even after your gone, I'll fight to protect your kind in the future
Hear, hear! It angers me that people can just stereotype certain breeds of dogs just because they look fierce, or are rumored to be so... they're all the same, they're DOGS! Why can't people respect that?! -huff- Anyway... love the stamp; looks great. ^.^

I love all animals, and bad dogs are cause of the owners, not the breed....
And when I saw a thing on the news about this, my Step Dad started going off about how he hated when people say that.. say that "bad dogs are cause of the owners, not the breed"...

I love this stamp. My friend recently alerted me to this problem, and my heart went out to the poor things. When I grow up, I actually want many dogs, one being a pit bull. ^^
So, here's my take on this whole ordeal: Yes, I believe it is true that Pittbulls, Rottweilers, and the like have a TENDANCY to be aggressive. I honestly do. It's instincts, it just happens to show in them more. H-O-W-E-V-E-R. JUST because they're species/breed have tendancies to be aggressive, does NOT mean EVERY single one will absolutely be a mean, slobbering monster. This is why I get so frustrated with my mom. She's been attacked by large dogs on many occasions, and because of that, she is biased to medium-sized and smaller dogs. (Basically, bulldogs, pittbulls, and rotties she's terrified of) I can partly understand, after all they could've killed her. But on one such occassion a dog that attacked her was owned by a meth man. (i.e. Some drug dude who's on meth) If that dog was raised by a normal person, it probably could've been a great dog. While genes DO play a role, the owner plays a bigger role BY FAR. Example? Before we had our German Sheppard, we had another dog. Now, if I remember, he was German Shephard, Malimute, and some other mixes of dog. Oh yeah, and he was part wolf. Now before you go "OMGuhadawolf?!? He could've KILLED YOU!" Yeah. I was aware of that when I was little, and I still am, after he has passed away. My parents made sure to keep me away from him when I was smaller, because then he'd think that he was dominant over me, and all that stuff. During the summers, he'd get so hot and cranky, if you went to pet him, he'd growl and you, and he was also food aggressive. I don't even think I even hugged him once. But you know what? That dog was a freakin hero. One of our barns was being raided by our creepy neighbors and he barked and howled while the guy was throwing furniture at him, so loud he woke my parents up so they could call the police. And you know what else? The summer after sixth grade, my parents were redoing me and my sister's room, and the french doors were gone, leaving the wall open, nothing protecting it but a see-through sheet of plastic. We woke up the next morning and he was dead, lying in front of our room, curled up, still looking out for us in long slumber. What was the point of this whole shpeal? It truly doesn't matter what kind of dog it is. It depends on the owner. If you get all the proper facts, and give them love and attention, it really doesn't matter what kind of dog you have. It really makes me pity those who are so misguided and judgemental. They're missing out on a lot. </freakishly long, pointless rant>
